Sketch 1- Sleek

Baker Street Station

This photo was taken in the London Underground and the Baker Street Station. As a huge fan on Sherlock I thought it pretty clever and cool how they incorporated artwork in the form on benday dots to create an image of Sherlock.

Heydar Aliyev Center

The Heydar Aliyev Center was designed by well-known female architect Zaha Hadid and built in 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan. This building is one of my favourite pieces of architecture as I love how she incorporates organic shapes and combines it with the modern and sleek look of floor to ceilings glass.  

Coffered Soffits

This piece of drawing was done last year during the ARCH1121 course. It is the coffered soffit of the New South Wales Art Gallery. It is probably one of my best sketches as it conveys a 2 point perspective and the line work on the columns and doorway is very detailed. I used conte pencils and coffee on a 300 gsm paper and I probably could have done a better job of showing and detailing certain shadows on the doorway.
