Lecture Theatre
Through
making random section cuts into blocks, I was able to create oblique geometry
that showcased a certain sleekness to the building. This particular image shows
the lecture room that faces Anzac Parade via its floor to ceiling glass windows,
thus letting in different shapes of light into the room.
Study Area
The student study areas are located in the highest building
and have two floor to ceiling views of Anzac Parade and the UNSW Campus, in
order to get to each level, there is a platform which goes from the bottom floor
to each level right at the center.
Overall Building
The four buildings are randomly dispersed out yet have some
for of conformity to their structure, much like when a brutalist building is
demolished. The glass roofs and windows serve to cast different shapes of iridescent
light forms into the buildings reducing the use of lighting in the buildings especially
during the day time.
Office
The office space, at the top of the building gives a fine
view of the surrounding campus and other buildings of the bridge. The roof top
light is the main source of light into the room along with the glass windows
cut through the side.
